Get to Know Art Contest: This annual Art contest is open to US Residents ages 19 and under and runs until November 1, 2015. Follow the step by step directions to submit your art, writing, photography, video, and music inspired by the great outdoors. You may enter as many categories as you want! Get outside and observe your wild neighbors in their natural environment; make sketches, have a photo/video shoot in the best possible setting, get wild inspiration for your poetry or music. For the art, writing and photography categories, 3 winning entries are chosen from each of the following age groups:
Sir William’s Art Contest for Kids: Two age groups may enter: Ages 6-10 and 11-14. Must be your original work on any subject. Nothing offensive or obscene allowed. No copyrighted, trademarked, or registered images can be used in any way. Photography, drawing, painting, graphic arts, and sculpture accepted. Up to three entries per child. Grand prize: $25 gift card. Grand Prize Winner, Runner Up, and Honorable Mention will be featured on the website. Deadline: October 31, 2015
U.S. Kids Annual Cover Contest - Theme: If I Had a Time Machine . Residents of the United States who are ages two (2) to twelve (12) at the time of entry are eligible to enter. The entries will be grouped by age and magazine as follows:
Humpty Dumpty Magazine: ages 2-6
Jack and Jill Magazine: ages 7-12
Winners will receive prizes, and first-place winners will have their art featured on the May/June 2016 cover of the appropriate U.S. Kids magazine. In addition, U.S. Kids will make a donation to the art department of the winner's preschool, elementary, or middle school or other 501(c) 3 nonprofit art program as follows:
First place: $500.00
Second place: $250.00
Third place: $100.00
Deadline is February 27, 2016.
The Space Foundation presents: Sixth Annual International Student Art Contest: The theme is “What Space Means To Me”. Open to students under the age of 18. Must have a teacher or parent/legal guardian who will provide parental consent to enter the contest . 25 Prizes awarded. Deadline is November 13, 2015.
Teachers Against Prejudice – Elementary Art Contest: Open to Grades 1st – 4th as of September 2015. TAP is calling for your submissions of a painting, drawing, collage, or other 2-dimensional work focused on this years’ theme, “Games Around the World”. Entrants will be divided into two groups by grade: Group A—1st and 2nd grades and Group B—3rd and 4th grade. First place winner will receive $150 and Second place: $100. Photos or scanned images of artwork must be submitted in jpeg format and emailed or sent on CD with the accompanying contest entry form. Limit of One Entry per student. Pentel’s 46th International Children’s Art Exhibition: Open to children between 3-15 as of January 1, 2016. The following guidelines are set forth for the ICAE:
1. Each child may submit only one piece of artwork.
2. Students are encouraged to be original and use their imagination.
3. The expressed ideas and representation should be clear and understood by a third person.
4. The child must create the art solely, with no assistance from parents, teachers, or others.
5. The judges give very careful consideration to works that depict native characteristics and other special features.
6. Computerized artwork will not be accepted. Any artwork created with the aid of a computer will not be considered eligible.
7. Artwork cannot exceed 18” x24”.
Awards for the International Children’s Art Exhibition will be distributed in the following categories: Supreme Gold Award, Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, and the Pentel Award. Entry packets and additional information can be found here. Deadline for submissions is October 30, 2015.
Animal Rescue Kid's Art Contest: Art contest for kids ages 16 and under. Enter this monthly contest by submitting a drawing of their favorite animal. Winner and five runners up will receive "animal rescue" prize package. Open to US residents only.
FreeKidsCrafts.com: This is a monthly contest; kids ages 3-12 may create an original craft made from basic craft or household items and enter by submitting a photo. Four contributors chosen to win $50 in free craft materials.
Lions Club International Peace Poster Art Contest: This annual art competition from Lion's Club International has reopened; its 2014-2015 contest theme is "Peace, Love and Understanding". Children ages 11, 12, or 13 worldwide are invited to participate; deadline is November 15, 2015. Grand prize is $5000 and a trip to the special awards ceremony; 23 merit winners will receive $500 US dollars and a certificate of achievement. Worldwide Kids Drawings: This is a biannual kid's art contest: first contest is from January through June; second contest runs from July through December. Drawings must be original and not traced or copied. First place is $1000, Second Place is $500 and Third place is $250. A submission fee of $5.00 is required. Contest is judged in three categories: ages 6-8, ages 9-12, and ages 13-17; open to kids worldwide.
